SCHOLA NOVA
Laboratorio di coreografia
Schola Nova è la nuova bottega di coreografia organizzata da dAS - de Arte Saltandi a Piacenza. È un percorso di formazione e tutoraggio rivolto a creatori/trici della danza, coreograf*, danzatori/trici che vogliono acquisire, potenziare e approfondire competenze coreografiche da applicare alle proprie opere e per gestire la creazione d’ensemble.
Per la prima volta dAS propone un ciclo di 16 lezioni (suddivise in 8 fine settimana) da novembre 2025 a maggio 2026 a Piacenza.
Il programma si articola in due direzioni: creazione coreografica e tutoraggio.
Da un lato si esplorano metodologie legate alla composizione coreografica, mutuate non solo dalla danza ma anche dalle altre arti performative, per espandere la gamma di strumenti a disposizione di coreograf* e danzator*. Per questo sono coinvolte anche figure di professionist* e ricercator* dell’ambito delle live art (canto, teatro, performance art, arte partecipativa). Schola Nova si propone infatti come bottega del fare coreografia per indagare come si crea il materiale di movimento, quale rapporto stabilire tra concetto, espressione, gesto, come sviluppare un linguaggio condiviso per lavorare in collaborazione. Una particolare attenzione è riservata alla creazione site-specific* per spazi non convenzionali.
Dall’altro lato, Schola Nova si costituisce anche come un’opportunità di tutoraggio/coaching. Infatti, è pensata anche per accompagnare l’evoluzione delle creazioni-in-divenire che artist* partecipanti desiderano sottoporre alle figure formatrici per supporto al proprio lavoro. Questo accompagnamento ai progetti individuali è anche finalizzato a costruire possibili future collaborazioni con dAS Festival.
Il corso termina con la presentazione di un esito performativo nella prestigiosa Sala dei Teatini, in collaborazione con la Fondazione Teatri Piacenza.
Il corso si terrà in italiano e in inglese.
*site-specific: Con questa terminologia si intende un tipo di creazione che vive della relazione stretta con il luogo in cui è presentata. Non semplicemente una pièce per spazi non convenzionali (fuori dai teatri e dalle sale designate come luoghi di spettacolo), bensì un lavoro che può esistere in quella forma solo in quello spazio, mentre non avrebbe senso o perderebbe la sua identità se spostato altrove (a meno che non vengano introdotte modifiche sostanziali).
DOCENTI
Riccardo Buscarini - coreografia​
Coreografo vincitore di numerosi premi e riconoscimenti in Italia e all’estero, Riccardo Buscarini dopo il diploma alla London Contemporary Dance School nel 2009, firma nuove creazioni per ZfinMalta, Malta National Dance Company, Chelyabinsk Contemporary Dance Theater (Russia), EDGE and The Place Prize (Londra), Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano, Equilibrio Dinamico (Bari), Accademia Nazionale di Danza, MP3 Project (Roma), Opus Ballet (Firenze), Carmen Senra Danza (Madrid). Dal 2011 al 2015 insegna Coreografia e Performance alla Birkbeck University di Londra. Ha condotto Company Class ad Aterballetto, Skånes Dansteater (Mälmö, Svezia) e tenuto laboratori presso London College of Fashion, Wimbledon College of Arts, TripSpace, Independent Dance (Londra), Firkin Crane (Cork, IRL) e tante altre istituzioni. Degne di nota sono le collaborazioni nel campo delle arti visive (London Festival of Architecture, Nahmad Projects, UNA Galleria) e regie d’opera in Italia, Regno Unito e Malta. Nel 2023 fonda dAS_de Arte Saltandi.
Eleonora Marzani - processi creativi
Artista, performer e formatrice attiva nell’ambito della arti performative e visive, nel suo lavoro, presentato in vari contesti nazionali ed internazionali, incrocia la pratica con la ricerca accademica, esplorando in particolare l'interazione con il pubblico e i formati performativi sperimentali. Ricercatrice di CHAIA/Università di Évora, Portogallo, ha lunga esperienza di docenza in contesti curricolari e non, per tutte le fasce d’età, in discipline quali teatro, storia dell’arte, lettere, e in relazione alla disabilità.
Come attrice/performer ha collaborato in diversi generi di arti dal vivo: teatro immersivo/arte partecipativa (Rimini Protokoll, Alain Michard, Iwan Brioc, Teatro del Lemming); performance art sperimentale (Cecilia Lentini&Semionauta, Traci Kelly, Teatro Magro, Guillermo Gómez-Peña e Roberto Sifuentes/La Pocha Nostra); teatro fisico e danza (Michele Di Stefano/MK - Biennale Danza Venezia; Dewey Dell; Phillip Zarrilli; Cie Philippe Genty).
A partire dalla laurea in Lettere Moderne con una tesi su Sarah Kane e la violenza del suo teatro, si occupa di drammaturgia di arti ed eventi performativi, formandosi con Kaite O’Reilly, Vera Mantero, Marco Balliani e Mario Perrotta [Corso di Alta Formazione, XNL Piacenza]. Consegue la Laurea specialistica in Storia dell’Arte con una tesi sulla performance art radicale di Guillermo Gómez-Peña e La Pocha Nostra, con cui lavora come performer.
Diplomata al Teatro Arsenale (Milano), studia varie pratiche legate al corpo e al movimento e in particolare approfondisce il training psicofisico del regista e accademico Phillip Zarrilli, con cui lavora come assistente. I suoi lavori esplorano formati sia più tradizionali che sperimentali e ibridi, come installazioni partecipative, performance lecture, video-performance, e sono stati presentati internazionalmente in gallerie e festival. Collabora con dAS_de Arte Saltandi dal 2024, con Spazio T/festival Mamatita dal 2021 e con Industria Scenica.
Aristide Rontini - coreografia
Aristide Rontini è un coreografo, performer e community dance artist di base a Imola (Italia). Si è diplomato alla Codarts - Rotterdam Dance Academy. I suoi lavori sono stati programmati da festival e teatri italiani e internazionali come Oriente Occidente, ERT - Emilia Romagna Teatro,Holland Dance Festival e Gender Bender. Ha ricevuto commissioni da Introdans e Skånes Dansteater. È coinvolto e ha ricevuto supporto da istituzioni e network internazionali focalizzati sullo sviluppo di arti performative create da artisti con disabilità come Europe Beyond Access. Come danzatore ha collaborato con Simona Bertozzi, Michela Lucenti/Balletto Civile, Candoco Dance Company, Alessandro Schiattarella/BewegGrund, Angélica Liddell, Carl Olof Berg/Spinn, Varna Badalyan, Diego Tortelli/Aterballetto. Nel 2020, insieme ad altri artisti disabili italiani, ha fondato Al.di.Qua. Artists, la prima associazione in Italia che si batte per l'autonomia e i diritti degli artisti con disabilità.

Agnes Sipos - voce e coro
Soprano ungherese, inizia i suoi studi musicali prima come polistrumentista, poi come cantante. Laureata in Musica vocale da camera presso il Conservatorio “G. Nicolini” di Piacenza sotto la guida di Anna Chierichetti, dal 2024 è anche docente del Laboratorio corale presso lo stesso istituto.
Vincitrice del Premio Zucchelli per la lirica, è seconda classificata al Concorso Internazionale Voci In-Canto (2017) e finalista nel 2020. Debutta nei ruoli di Susanna, Musetta e Adina nella rassegna Opere in pillole della Fondazione Zucchelli. Partecipa a produzioni di Traviata (dir. Jacopo Rivani) e Rigoletto (dir. Francesco Ivan Ciampa, regia Leo Nucci) al Teatro Municipale di Piacenza, dove dal 2020 collabora anche come Artista del Coro. Si distingue nel repertorio sacro e sinfonico, esibendosi in opere di Mozart, Pergolesi, Britten, Haydn e Brahms. Nel 2023 canta nel Sogno di una notte di mezza estate di Mendelssohn con l’Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana e debutta nella Messa in do minore KV 427 di Mozart. Interprete di musica contemporanea, partecipa al Bibiena Art Festival e debutta nel ruolo di Ondina ne Il viaggiatore favoloso di Roberto Solci.

SCHOLA NOVA
Choreography Lab
Schola Nova is the new choreography workshop organised by dAS - de Arte Saltandi in Piacenza. It is a training and tutoring course aimed at dance creators, choreographers, and dancers who want to acquire, enhance and deepen choreographic skills to be applied to their own works and to manage ensemble creation.
For the first time dAS offers a cycle of 16 lessons (divided into 8 weekends) from November 2025 to May 2026 in Piacenza.
The programme is structured in two directions: choreographic creation and tutoring.
On the one hand, methodologies related to choreographic composition, borrowed not only from dance but also from other performing arts, are explored in order to expand the range of tools available to choreographers and dancers. Therefore, professionals and researchers from the other live arts (singing, theatre, performance art, participatory art) are also involved. Schola Nova is structured as a workshop of choreography making for investigating how movement material is created; what relationships can be established between concept, gesture, and expression; how to develop a shared language to work in collaboration. Special attention is paid to site-specific* creation for unconventional spaces.
On the other hand, Schola Nova also implements a tutoring/coaching opportunity. In fact, it is also designed to accompany the evolution of the in-progress creations that participants wish to submit to the trainers for feedback and mentoring. The mentoring process for individual projects is also meant for creating possible future collaborations with dAS Festival.
At the end of the Schola Nova a final performance as the outcome of the workshop will be presented in the prestigious Sala dei Teatini, in collaboration with the Fondazione Teatri Piacenza.
The course will be held both in Italian and English.
*site-specific: this term refers to a type of creation that depends from the close relationship with the place where it is presented. Not simply a performance for unconventional spaces (therefore not theatres or performance venues), but a work that can only exist in a specific form in a specific space, whereas it would make no sense or lose its identity if moved elsewhere (unless substantial changes are made).

TEACHERS
Riccardo Buscarini - choreography
Award-winning choreographer Riccardo Buscarini, after graduating from the London Contemporary Dance School in 2009, has created new works for ZfinMalta, Chelyabinsk Contemporary Dance Theater, EDGE (The Place), The Place Prize, Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano, Equilibrio Dinamico (Bari), Accademia Nazionale di Danza, MP3 Project (Rome), Opus Ballet (Florence), and Carmen Senra Danza (Madrid). From 2011 to 2015, he taught Choreography and Performance at Birkbeck University of London. He has led company classes at Aterballetto and Skånes Dansteater (Mälmö, Sweden) and held workshops at the London College of Fashion, Wimbledon College of Arts, TripSpace, Independent Dance (London), Firkin Crane (Cork), and many other institutions. Noteworthy are his collaborations in the visual arts (London Festival of Architecture, Nahmad Projects, UNA Galleria) and opera direction in Italy, the United Kingdom and Malta. Eleonora Marzani - creative process
Artist, performer and trainer active in the performing and visual arts, in her work, presented in national and international contexts, she crosses practice with academic research, exploring in particular interaction with audience and experimental performance formats. A researcher at CHAIA/University of Évora, Portugal, she has long teaching experience in curricular and non-curricular contexts, for all age groups, in disciplines such as theatre, art history, literature, and in relation to disability.
As an actress/performer, she has collaborated in different genres of live arts: immersive theatre/participatory art (Rimini Protokoll, Alain Michard, Iwan Brioc, Teatro del Lemming); experimental performance art (Cecilia Lentini&Semionauta, Traci Kelly, Teatro Magro, Guillermo Gómez-Peña and Roberto Sifuentes/La Pocha Nostra); physical theatre and dance (Michele Di Stefano/MK- Biennale Danza Venezia; Dewey Dell; Phillip Zarrilli; Cie Philippe Genty). Since graduating in Modern Literature with a thesis on Sarah Kane and the violence of her theatre, she has been involved in dramaturgy of performing arts and events, training with Kaite O'Reilly, Vera Mantero, Marco Balliani and Mario Perrotta [Advanced Training Course, XNL Piacenza]. She obtained a Master's degree in Art History with a thesis on the radical performance art of Guillermo Gómez-Peña and La Pocha Nostra, with whom she works as a performer. A graduate of Teatro Arsenale (Milan), she studies various practices related to the body and movement and in particular deepens the psychophysical training of director and academic Phillip Zarrilli, with whom she works as an assistant. She has collaborated with dAS_de Arte Saltandi since 2024, with Spazio T/festival Mamatita since 2021, and with Industria Scenica.

Aristide Rontini - choreography
Aristide Rontini is a choreographer, performer, and community dance artist based in Imola, Italy. He graduated from Codarts - Rotterdam Dance Academy. Agnes Sipos - voice and choir
Hungarian soprano, she started her studies in music at a very young age, first as a multi-instrumentalist and later as a singer.
Graduated with honors in Vocal Chamber Music from the “G. Nicolini” Conservatory in Piacenza under the guidance of Anna Chierichetti, since 2024 she teaches and leads the Choral Lab at the same institution.
She was awarded the Zucchelli Prize for opera and won second prize at the International Voci In-Canto Competition (2017), also reaching the finals in 2020. She made her debut in the roles of Susanna, Musetta, and Adina in the “Opere in pillole” series by the Zucchelli Foundation. She has taken part in productions of La Traviata (cond. Jacopo Rivani) and Rigoletto (cond. Francesco Ivan Ciampa, dir. Leo Nucci) at Teatro Municipale in Piacenza, where she has also been a member of the chorus since 2020.
She stands out in sacred and symphonic repertoire, performing works by Mozart, Pergolesi, Britten, Haydn, and Brahms. In 2023, she sang in Mendelssohn’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ with the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana and made her debut in Mozart’s ‘Mass in C minor’, K. 427. A passionate performer of contemporary music, she has taken part in the Bibiena Art Festival and debuted in the role of Ondina in ‘Il viaggiatore favoloso’ by Roberto Solci.
